HTC VIVE XR Elite

Product Overview:

The HTC VIVE XR Elite is a convertible, ultra-lightweight Extended Reality (XR) headset designed to power advanced Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) workflows. Engineered for versatility, it operates both as a standalone headset with a rear battery cradle and converts into a compact, lightweight glasses-style form factor for media viewing and desktop spatial computing.

Featuring dual 1920x1920 LCD displays (3840x1920 combined 4K output) at a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, stepless IPD adjustment with built-in diopter dials, and high-resolution RGB full-color passthrough, the VIVE XR Elite delivers exceptional optical clarity. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 platform with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, it supports standalone spatial applications, wireless Wi-Fi 6E PC-VR streaming, and tethered USB-C DisplayPort operation.

Key Features & Commercial Advantages

• Convertible Dual-Form Factor: Easily detaches from the rear battery cradle and converts into lightweight immersive glasses, drastically reducing front-facing weight for comfortable seated sessions.

• 4K Combined Resolution & 90Hz Refresh: Dual 1920x1920 LCD displays per eye eliminate distortion and render sharp visual fidelity across CAD models, simulation environments, and training modules.

• Stepless IPD & Integrated Diopter Adjustment: Built-in diopter controls (0 to -6D) allow users to adjust lens focus individually for each eye, enabling many prescription glasses wearers to use the headset without extra lenses[cite: 19].

• High-Resolution Color RGB Passthrough: Four wide-tracking cameras paired with a high-resolution RGB depth camera overlay digital 3D models smoothly onto physical real-world environments.

• Hot-Swappable Battery System: Rear-mounted battery cradle balances weight distribution and supports hot-swapping via an internal backup battery to allow continuous operation during heavy enterprise use.

• Wi-Fi 6E & Low-Latency PC-VR Streaming: Stream complex PC-VR scenes wirelessly over Wi-Fi 6E or via high-speed USB-C cables without loss of frame rate.

• Precise 6DoF Controllers & Hand Tracking: Comes bundled with two ergonomic 6DoF controllers featuring capacitive touch sensors, alongside built-in optical hand tracking.
